Penthouse - Sankt Veit Gasse 4 - 6, Vienna, Austria

The house Sankt Veit Gasse 4-6 is in immediate proximity of the Loosvilla Haus Mueller.

On top of the last floor, a new floor has been erected in place of the old rooftop. The architectural debates have concluded that the penthouse construction signifies a new closure on the top of the building. As opposed to the usual loft constructions which is characterized by slanted roof surfaces and gapes, this construction introduces a new casing with wide glas surfacing, bowfronts and a patio which encompasses the entire penthouse. This new and innovative construction will provide an aesthetic living standard located in one of the best living regions of Vienna.

Construction
The entire casing was fitted with wooden panels, whereas the outer shell consists of Prottelith. The interior design was a lightweight construction.
This project was elected from a panel judge, labeled as 'innovative, stimulating and exemplary' and chosen to represent the work in an event 'Gebaut 2005'.
